Councilman Thomas Burns was elected to the Bellevue, Nebraska City Council in November of 2016, beating the incumbent City Council President. Thomas was re-elected in 2020.

On a special executive board, Thomas worked with leaders to explore various options for transforming Bellevue’s public library into a modern, multi-use library that meets the needs of our growing community.

Knowing public safety is a priority for Bellevue residents, Thomas supports a modern police department and full funding for our professional fire department.
